What makes the taste unique are the spices used in preparing the foods. They also use a lot of dried fish and powdered fish/fish powder that is mixed a spice e.g. chili fish powder.

Food is everywhere! At the traffic lights, sidewalk vendors, "cook shops" evey couple of blocks. Mostly wonderful aromas!Jennie Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05272174022406886382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3028194524318485366.post-25530352024000726102008-06-19T05:17:00.000-04:002008-06-19T05:17:00.000-04:00Jennie, I’m glad you didn’t fall prey to the lure ...Jennie, I’m glad you didn’t fall prey to the lure of the hustler (re: Your trip to the Grand Palace), when all else fails, refer to the local colloquialism. I’m glad you found some time for some sight seeing and some indulgements. I especially enjoyed your description of the fruits and yes I became home sick for Jamaica, as well. Los Angeles has a large contingent of Thais and my company had an office in close proximity and occasionally my colleagues and I visited the restaurants. One of the staples we sampled were deep fried plantings, we later discovered that many of the foods including fish and vegetables were deep fried. Have you had the same experience?

Khwap Khun Ka (:

DavidAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
